Foreclosure of the BPTO’s deadline suspension period

On May 26th, the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office (BPTO) published an Official Announcement of the foreclosure of the suspension of all administrative deadlines. According to  the Announcement, (i) the deadlines which commenced before the suspension period shall be resumed from June 01, 2020, and (ii) the deadlines arising from publications occurred during the suspension period (i.e., from March 16th until May 31st) shall commence on June 01, 2020.

 

New Rules were published on the same date to determine the maintenance of the BPTO’s workforce under teleworking until June 15, 2020 due to the novel Coronavirus pandemic.
