BPTO extends the deadline suspension

The Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office (BPTO) published as of today new rules extending the suspension of all deadlines until April 30, 2020, due to the impacts of the Coronavirus pandemic.

 

The BPTO also issued a statement clarifying the inconsistency of the deadline for requesting the fast-track examination of patent applications related to Covid-19, which shall be June 30, 2021.
