EPE publishes the Indicative Plan for the expansion of the LGP transmission network in Brazil

The Energy Research Office (EPE) published the Indicative Plan for the expansion of the LGP transmission network in Brazil. The results of the study assess conditions which may influence in the feasibility and implementation of each project related to the pipelines. They were mapped 11 potential projects, totaling about 2,000 km of new pipelines.

CNPE approves blocks for the 17^th Bidding Round of Blocks

The Brazilian National Council of Energy Policy (CNPE) approved the blocks to be offered in the 17th Bidding Round of Blocks. The blocks are located in the basins: Pará-Maranhão (SPAMA-AUP1 sector), Potiguar (SPOT-AP2 and SPOT-AUP2 sectors), Pelotas (SP-AP1, SP-AR1 and SP-AUP1 sectors), Campos (sSC-AUP2, SC-AP3 and SC-AP1 sectors) and Santos (SS-AUP5, SS-AP4 and sectors SS-AUP4).

ANP approves Public Consultation about Renovabio

ANP approved the release of a public consultation to receive contributions to an ordinance draft related to the Brazilian National Biofuels Policy, known as RenovaBio, which will stablish proceedings for primary issuance of Decarbonization Credits (“CBIOs”). The public consultation will still be released by ANP.

ANP suspends TBG’s  Gas Transportation Capacity Allocation Auction

ANP suspended indefinitely the TBG’s  Gas Transportation Capacity Allocation Auction No. 01/2019. According to ANP, the decision derives from a request made by the Brazilian Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE), that is monitoring the liberalization process of the natural gas market in Brazil.
